"THE FIRST CHRISTMAS."

On Monday evening next (Christmas night) the Rev D. Parry will give an exhibition at Whinray’s Hall, of a series of magnificent lantern views, with verbal comments, illustrating “ The First Christmas,” the attractiveness of which will be enhanced by appropriate vocal and mus - ical numbers rendered by Mr and Miss Parker, and Mrs A. Rice. The entertainment will close with a display of views of travel, and prismatic and other pleasing novelties never before seen in Gisborne. There should be a crowded house on the occasion, as, in Mr Parry’s capable hands, the whole display will undoubtedly bo a great treat, The entertainment begins at eight o’clock, and the admission is by silver coin.
