Post and Telegraph Chrislmas ana New Year Holidays, 1905-6. Postal Branob.— Mondays, the 25ih December and Ib6 January (Christmas and New Year’s Days), will be observed as close holidays. . , . On Tuesday, the 26ih lost. (Boxing Day), the Post Office will fco open In all branches, excepting Money Order and BaVinga Bank, from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Posting boxes will be cleared on the evenings of Saturdays, the 23rd and 30;h instant; the usual clearanoe will also be made on the mornings of the 25th inst. and Ist prox. Mails usually despatched on Mondays will oloss at 7.30 p.m- on ■Saturdays, the 23rd and 30th instant, followed by supplementary mails made up early on the Monday mornings. On the ■26th inat. the usual despatch of mails up to 8 a.m. will be made ; posting boxes cleared accordingly. A letter-carriers ■delivery will be made on the afternoons of the 23rd and 30th iost. On the 26:h its', one complete delivery by earners will bo made, each carrier stirting on bis walk at 6 a.m. On Saturday evening", the 23rd and 30th lost., a delivery of town letters will be made between 7 and S p.m.,-at tbo Poet Office wicket. telegraph Office.—On Monday (Obritt ■mas Day) Sunday hours will bs tobsorved —viz , 9 30 to 10 a.m,, and 5 to 5 30 pm. Tuesday (Boxing Day) and Monday (New Year's Day) the offioe will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and 7 p.m. till midnight. The Telephone Exchange will observe Sunday hours on Christmas Day—viz., 880 a.m. to 9.30 a.m., and 4 to 5 p.m. On Boxing Day and New Yeans Day continuous attendance ai usual from 7 a.m to 11 p.m.
