(Per Press Association.) Waoganui, last night. An exhibition of school and technical work wai opened this aftivnoou by the Mayor in tho technical school building. The object of tho exhibition is to promote {jeharaiiy manual and technical work in the district by showing the be3t work, that demonstrating to teachers end children what is beiag done throughout the district. The work shown comprises exhibits from the local technical school and district, high and primary schools. It includes wood-carving, woodwork, modelling, brush work, drawing, wrifc’ng, cookery, dressmaking, needlework, painting nature collections, and aids to teaching. There f jover 3000 exhibits, and 4000 children pfthe country schools are coming into wo daring the week by special railway excursions. Children from the baokiblocks are being billeted by the citizens of ! Wanganui.
