Dunedin, last nigbt, The Oiago and Southland Gold Mining Induslrial Union of Employers instructed its secretary a few weeks ago to issue a circular to all mining companies in tbe South Island with a view to asoerSaining if they wero prepared to support a trust or syndicate proposed to be formed for dealing with gold by purchase, advance, or otherwise. One of the conditions is that tho companies should give guarantee cf a penny per ounce for a term of years in the event of tho banks reducing thair charges.
