Christohurch, last nigh

The annual New Zealand Wheel Race meeting was held this afternoon at Lancaster Park in beautiful weather. Several thousand spectators were present. The meeting wsb attended by the Premier and Sir Joseph Ward. The principal results were Anniversary Handicap, of 9 sovs, halfmile.—C. F. Bakor, 50yds, 1; N. E. Mohitens, 45yds, 2 ; M. Randrup, scratch, 3. Time 59 253 EC.

Rudge-Whitwortb Cup Handicap, two miles. —H. Bowloy, 80yds, 1; A. R. Farlcolner, soratch, 2 ; A. W. Ragg, 40yds, 3. Time, 3.51 1-5, New Zealand Wheel Race, of 50 sovs, two miles. —M. Randrup, scratch, 1; R. Rodgers, 160yds, 2 ; A. Bonis, 200yds, 8. Time, 4.23 1-3, The bask division caught the field before the lssfc lap was reached. Randrup, who was lying in a handy position throughout, made a fast sprint and won by a length.-
