(Per Press Association.) ChriEtchurch, Saturday. Tho no-licenso party held a largelyattended demonstration in Canterbury Hall last night, in honor of the results of the recent licensing puli. Several speakers expressed much satisfaction at the result of the poll, and deniod that there was any advance cf sonlimont in favor of tbe

liquor party. When Mr T. E. Taylor roeo to speak, tho audience rose on masse, and cheered again and again, a bouquet being aho presented. Mr Taylor attributed tho majority in Aohburton in favor of restora ticn to a desire to get back licenses for the clubs. Tho same factor, be believed, had operated largely in Kaiapoi, which had just carried reduction.
