During Mr Barton’s ooaetot tour charges brought by the native constable, Ahipini Mika, against Patrick Hayes (Mr H. At the Police Court yeslerday William Manning was fined 103 and costs for drunkenness. Defendant got up and taking the official by Burpriso struck him violently, throw him down, and k'cked him whilo Lo was on Ihe ground. Later on Oontab'e Wales arrested Manning. The latter’s companion, George Rios, who was cautioned for drunkenness, admitted they bad been told to move on, but he was too drunk to remembor morp. Thedofendant said he did not know who Mr Frasor was.

In the judgment summons case T. and J. Dalrymple (Mr T. Alston Coleman) v. Herbert Boniface, an order was made for immediate payment of debt and costs, £7 23 63, in default eight days’ imprisonmont. The evidence of Charles McFarlane was taken in a oase to be heard at Christohurob, Booth, Macdonald, and Co. (Mr Sievwright) v. McFarlane Bros (Mr Blair), claim £1 13s sd, for goods supplied, and - interest 6s lOd. C. MoFarlano stated ho had paid the £1 I3s 51 to plaintiff's representative, and there had been no arrangement as to interest.
