connection with Lodge Montroeo took plaoo last evening, whon Bro. H. Sandlant
was installed as Worshipful Master. There was a large attendance of visiting brothron. A special featuro of tho function was a meeling of the Distiiot Grand Lodge of Scotland, piesided over by Worshipful Bro. Mueller, D.D.G.M. Bro. R. John-
ston was Director of Ceremonies, and Broe. D. B. DeCosta and 3. H. Colebourne acted as presenting oflioers An orohestra under Bro. J. Chrisp Bssis’od in part oi tho coromony. Tho following oflioers wore invested 1.P.M., Bro. A. G. Boero ; D.M-, Bro. C. F. Soott ; S.W., Bro. W. Sandlant ; J.W., Bro. A. Kirk; Chaplain, Bro. R, N. Jones, P M.; Treasure!, Bro. R. T. Soymour, P.M.; Secretary, Bro. J. R. Little, P.M.; S.D., Bro. T. Ellery ; J.D., Bro W. G. Bremnor ;
I G., Bro. D. C. Hawkins ; Stewards, Bros. J. Russell and J. Pattsrson ; OrgaDist, Bro. J. Chrisp, During the evening occasion was taken to present Bros. Seymour and Jones with Past Master’s jewels. After the ceremony at tho inviiation of the Worshipful Master, those preneDt partook of" a banquet 1 rid out in first-class style by Bro. J. Erskine. A toast list was duly honoured, including the King and Craft, the Grand Lodge of Sootland, responded to by Bro. Mueller; the District Grand Lodge, responded te by Bro. Whinray, D.S.G.M. ; Sister Grand Lodges, responded to by Bros. Skee”, Harding, Wall, and Kersley; the NewlyInstalled Master, proposed by Bro. A. G. Beere ; the I.P.Master (Bro. Boere) proposed by Bro. R. T. Seymour; Sister Lodges, proposed by Bro. Diokson, and responded to by Bros. D. R. DaCcsta (Turanganui Lodge), and J. H. Colebourne (Ahercorn Lodge); Visiting Brethren, proposed by Bro. Hepburn; tho Ladies, proposed by Bro, Ellery, coupled with tho names of Bror. Don arid R. H. Skeet; the Newly-Invested Officers, proposed by Bro. Jones, and responded to by Bros. W. Sandlant, S.W., A. Kiik, J.W, and D. C. Hawkins, J.G.; tbe Orohealra, proposed by Bro. Bremner, and responded to by Bros. Chrisp and Seymour and Ziohariab; and the Tyler's toast (Bro. G. Humphreys). Songs were contributed by Bros. Za.'hariab, Woolley, Huuter, NorrnaD, Dod, DeCosta, and Nicld, aad a recitation was given by Bro. Mackie. The meeting broke up with tho singing of Auli Lang Syne.
