ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
.(Per Press Association.) Wellington, last n : ght, Inspector Ellison has received word that a man named George Power was killed last night at Eketahuna in a fight with a man named Stried. The latter has been arrested. Hokitika, last right. A young man named Simon MacLood was accidentally killed by a fall of earth at MacLeod’s Terrace claim, Mikonui, yesterday afternoon. Dunedin, last night. Beatrice Mary Porturine, married, aged 32, was found drowned in the harbor this morning. She left home last night about 7 o’clock, during the absence of her husband, and had not been heard of till her body was found.
