IN pursuance of “The Electoral Aot, 1905,” I, John Brooking, Returning Officer for the Eastern Maori Electoral District, do hereby give notice that, by virtue of a Writ bearing date the 22nd day of November, 1905, under the hand of the Clerk of the Writs, an Election will be held for the return of a legally qualified person to serve as a Member of the House of Representatives for the above-mentioned Electoral Distriot, and that the Nomination of Candidates will take place at the Courlhouse, Gisborne, at nooD, on FRIDAY, the Ist day of Deoember, 1905; end that the Polling, if necersary, will take place on WEDNESDAY, the 20th day cf December, 1905, at the several Polling Places within the Eaid Electorate. Candidates shall be proposed by one and seconded by another Klect'r, both of whom must be qualified to vote at the Eleotion of Member for that district.
