THE COLONIAL CONFERENCE,
By telegraphy Press Asb’d, Copyright Received 4 43 p.m., Deo. 3. London, Dee. 2, A Blue Book dea’iog with correspondence as to the organisation of the Colonial Conference shows that Australia, Cap 9 Colony, and Natal are favorable to Mr Lyttelton’s suggestion. New Zealand has not replied, owing to the election. In deference to Canada’s views, the Bubjeet has been deferred until next Conference. Owing to tho inability of the Australasian Premiers to attend the latter in the spring of 1906, Mr Lyttelton inquires as to the advisability of the postponement until 1907. Canada implies that the Imperial Council will possibly be regarded a 3 an encroachment on autonomous Powers, and suggests the title of the “ Imperial Conference.” The Timas says that Sir Wilfrid Lanrier’s attitude is due to dependence upon French Canadians.
