REASONS 1. No-license is an invasion of tho natuial rights of the individual, and therefore means a great injustice to many. 2. Wherever Prohibition has been triedin tho. United Stares or Canada, it hesded to far greater evils than those it sought to remove— sly grog shops, lying, e'a» sion, lawlessness, iqoreagad drunkenness, epd other evils. 3. If No-license is carried every hotel, wholesale house, bottle lioensee. and olub v, ou’d b'» closed up, and no liquor be gold or bought, 4. If you buy liquoy elsewhere, the seller mqst be (.ptigedl that i§ to be sent or taken into your district, and your name and address be given to him. 5. Tho person who sellsthe liquor would have ~ to give your name and address and the quantity aod qualiiy oi the liquor sold to the Clerk of the Magistrate’s Court. 6. For a breach of the law you would be liable to a penalty of £2O, and for a second breaoh to a penalty cf £SO, pjr a term of imprisonment'. * • 8. On suspicion that a wineglassful is sold, any house may be raided by the police, any liquor found therein will- be seized, and the person whoae house is raided would have to satisfy the Magistrate that ho hud not sold liquor. Failing to do this, which would be very difficult, he would be seqteqoed to a heavy hue qr term of imprisonment, CAN ANY LAW BE MORE UNJUST? THIS IS NO-LICENoE.
