VOTE LIKE THIS: 11 HITE THAT THE HUMBER OF LICENSES EXISTING IN THE DISTRICT CONTINUE, TOTE" THAT I ' '
REASONS 1. No-license is an invasion of the natatal rights of the individual, and therefore means a great injustice to many. 2. Wherever Prohibition has been tried in tho United Stales or Canada, it has led to far greater evils than those it Bought to remove— sly grog shops, lying, ova* sion, lawlessness, increased drunkenness, and other evils. 3. It No-license is carried, every hotel, wholesale house, bottle lioensee, and club would be elosed up, and no liquor be sold or bought. 4. If you buy liquor elsewhere, the seller must be notified that is to be sent or taken into your district, and your name and address be given to him. 5. The person who sells the liquor would have to give your name and address and the quantity and quality oi the liquor Bold to tha Cl c rk of the Magistrate’s Court. ’ 6. For a breach ot the law you would be liable to a penalty of £2O, and for a 1 second breach to a penalty of £SO, or a term oi imprisonment. 8- On su'spioioh' that a wineglassful is sold, any house may be raided by the police, any liquor found therein will be se zed, and the person whose house is raided would have to satisfy the Magistrate that be had not sold liquor. Failing to do this, which would be very difficult, he would be sentenced to a heavy fine or term of imprisonment. CAN ANY LAW BE MORE UNJUST? THIS IS NO-LICENSE.
