(For Press Association.) I Napier, last night. I At the Arbitration Court to-day several I cases in connection with breaoheß of the I awards in the timber workers, furniture makers, tailors, drivers, and typographical trades were heard. In the last-mentioned case it waß dearly Bbown that the em- [ ployer had aoted upon legal opinion as to what constituted the minimum wage under the award. Fines ranging from £2 to £3O were imposed upou various employers, and the employees were eaoh fined 10s in every instance where it was adjudg'd that they had not endeavored to obtain payment of the ccrreot wage under the award.
