TUPAROA. (From Ojur Own Correspondent.) Nov. 10. A very interesting cricket matoh was played at Tokomaru on the King’s Birthday between Tokomaru and Waipiro and Tuparoa combined. Tokomaru won the toss, and oleetod to bat, putting up the small soore of 67 runs. Connelly, the only batsman to roaoh double figures, played wall for bis 25 (not out). The combined team replied with 83, N. Williams making 49 of them and Beale 22. Tokomarn, with four wickets down in their second innings for 113, deolared their innings dosed. There was only three-quarters of an honr lo get the combined team out, and at the call of time five of their wickets were down for 58They, therefore, won on the first innings by 26 runs. Connelly, for Tokomaru in their second innings, made 84, being again Dot out; W. Oates, G. Cotterill, and Big!ey with 28, 26, and 14 (not out) respectively were the other double figure contributors.
