REASONS 1. Nolicense ia an invasion of the natural rights of the individual, and therefore means a great injustice to many. 2. Wherever Prohibition has been tried in tho United Stales or Canada, it has led to far greater evils than those it Fought to remove—sly grog shops, lying, e'a» sioD, lawlessness, increased drunkenness, and other evils. 3. If No •liopnse is carried, every hotel, wholesale house, bottle licensee, and club would be elosed up, and no liquor be sold or bought. 4. If you buy liquor elsewhere, the seller roust be notified that is to be sent or
taken into your district, and your name and address be given to him. 5. The person who soils the liquor would have to give your name and address and the quantity aid qualify oi the liquor sold to the Clerk tf the Magistrate’s Court. 6. For a breaoh of the law you would be liable to a penalty ot £2O, and for a ■ second breaoh to a penalty of £SO, or a term of imprisonment. 8. On suspicion that a wineglassful Is sold, any house may be raided by the police, any liquor found therein will be seized, and the person whose house is raided would have to satisfy the Magisi trate that he had not sold liquor, i Failing to do this, whi"h would be i very difficult, he-would be sentenced [ to a heavy fine or term of imprison, j ment. e CAN ANY LAW BE MORE UNJUST?
