The Hod. J. Carcoll will address the electors at Gisborne to-night. The annual meeting of the Kia Ora Dairying Company will be held.to-night. The general elections have been definitely fixed for Wednesday, December 6tb, The box plan for the " Magio Kettle” season will be opened at Mr Miller’s on Monday morning at 10. It will be seen by special announcement in onr columns that the Snnday services of the Baptist Ghnroh will in future be regnlarly held in His Majesty's Theatre, instead of in the Theatre Boyal as heretofore, beginning on Sunday next. In making this change of location, it is stated that the Rev. D. Parry intends dealing with subjeots of a specially popular obaraoter which will no doubt be of great public interest.
The cricket matches will be continued to-morrow afternoon. United plays Country on the Victoria Domain, and Te Baa meet Tarahora. Thehtser team will bo picked from the following Hodge, Wydyard, TorkingtoD, Shark, Lasker, Bartan, Davies, Fenwiok, McConnell, Golding, Charles, Osborne, Clarke, and Reed.
The holiday yesterday waß interfered with by heavy rain in tbe morning. A fishing excursion in tbe s'eamer Karora took place, and good sport was promised, but the wind freshened so that it was necessary lo make an early return. Tbe SI. Professor Bryant, inspirational speaker, and well known in spiritualistic oiroles, died in Wellington on tho Ist of November. Deooasod had boon in failing health for some time past. It is to bo hopod that in future prompt repressive moasures will bo taken when Urrikins disturb a public meeting as was the case on Wednesday night. Some of those interrupting were boys who ought to have been at home in bod.
Tho Hon. J. Carroll last night addressed tbo largest and most enthusiastic meeting ever held in Te Karaka. Mr Chum Brown presided. Mr Carroll commonoed_ with a eulogy of His Majesty the King, in view of his birthday, and lod oil with tho National Anthem. At tho conclusion of his address a vote of confidence was oarried with ringing ohcors.
