The Auckland Observer states : J ] The Gisborne Sheep Farmers Frozen Meat Company is a concern that deserves to succeed, and it is pleasing 1 therefore to find that in the past year the company has dohe very well., me l net profit totalled £9,081, which, is exceedingly good considering the prevailing conditions of the froZ ® n trade. Altogether, the sum of £17,917, is available, and out of this £2,500 is applied to the reduction of mortgage, £1,412 is written off for depreciation, and /500 is credited to leasehold and sinking fund. £SOOO is placed to the reserve, and a bonus and dividend tor the year absorb £1,791, * eal jl°£ £6 713 to be carried forward. lh° Gisborne Farmers’ have set an example of the best kind.. The ability exhibited in the management of the frozen meat business-is praiseworthy, and there seems little doubt but that the lighterage business recently undertaken will be profitable. The directors and staff are entitled to the congratus lations and thanks of the shareholderptthe company.
