(Per Press Association.) Dunedin, last night.
Auld’s drapery, s'ore, South Dunedin, was burnt at 3 o’oluok this morning. There was total destruction so far as the wooden portion was conoerned. A small briok portion was Raved, but gutted. The contents are an absolute loss. The stock was valued at between five and six thousand pounds. The insurances held by Auld on the stock and fittings Eotar£32Bs, the Royal Standard paying a line of £I4OO, largely reinsured. Louis Joel, owner of the building, was insured iu the Standard for £1022.-
Mr W. Dr Mason, of: Middlemarch, is definitely out fqr Bruoa in the Liberal and Labor interests.
