The Assembly passed the Looal Option Bill, the chief provisions of wbiohare that no drink is to be sold on polling day ; half the electors on the roll must record their votes; that the compensation fund be in force for five years before the first poll is taken; the basis of compensation to the owner to be the difference between the assessed and oapital value of licensed and unlicensed, and for the licensee the compensation to be the va.uo of - the good* will of the business daring the previous year.
