YOUNG LYON Young Lyon, foaled October. 1897, Glen Lyon (British Lion—Diamond),(out of Wyllie’s Darling (Goneral Manager, imp.— Maggie by Vanquisher (imp) Young Lyon himself is a full dark brown, with black points. He was bred by Mr B. D. D. McLean,',Ma kaho, Hawke’s Bay. He baa got great substance, good bone and hair, is very aotive, and shows remarkably good temper. His young stook aro showing great quality, and one of his two-year-old geldings took first prize at the Poverty Bay A. and P. Society’s Show, 1904, against five other geldings and fillies by well-bred stallions, There are a number of his young stock at work and proving themselves to bo good, staunch workers. TEEMS: £3 5s single mares; two or more mares belonging to same owner, as may bo arranged.
