Tho quostion it is proposed to submit to the oloctors iu the event of n plobesaito boiug taken Is as follows : " Aro you iu favor of tho proposal that, subject to tho ooueoionoo clause, public schools shall be oponod dally with tho Lord’s prayer, and that In snoh schools Bible-lessona shall be given to children by teachers daring school hours, tbo tonohoc’s duty being strictly confined to explaining tho dictionary moaning of words, aud to seeing that ohiidron remember what they have road ?" " The text boob,” says tho manifesto, " is 9 modified form of that used in Victoria, and it has reoeivad tho approval of the committee consisting of ministers and laymen of every Protestant Ohnroh in the oolony,’ ”
