Young Lyon himself is a full dark brown, with black point?. Ho was bred by Mr B. D. D. MoLean, Ma feaho, Hawke’s Bay. He bas got great substance, good bone and hair, Is very active, and shows remarkably good temper. His young stock are showing great quality, and one of his two-year-old geldings took firßt prize at the Poverty Bay A. and P. Society’s Show, 1904, against five other geldingeand fillies by well-bred stallions. There are a number of his young stock at work and proving themselves to be good, staunch workers.
