At tbo annual meeting of the New Zealand Cricket Council held on Saturday night, the sub-committee appointed to draw up a report on the proposed visit of an English team, reoommended the best time would be season 1906-7, the team to arrive about December of that year, and to be amateur or nearly ao, and that arrangements should be made for insuring a fixed minimum on gate takings. The estimated cost of the visit was £2250. Consideration of the report was defarrod until next meeting on October 28ih.
