(Per Press Association.) Dunedin, last night. The weather was beautiful for the seoond day of the D.J.O. Spring Meeting. The oonrse was heavy after the reoent rains. The attendance was fair. The sum of £2598 10s was put through the hnaohine, makiDg £7600 10s for the meeting, as against £6223 last year. In ths Shorts Handioap the running of Criohton was enquired into. Rae, the jookoy, explained that the horse did not sbapo well in tho heavy going in turning into the straight, when he was making np on Apollo Doris. He ooncluded that MoComb would not let him up inside, and he pulled out. The stewards let him off with a censure. The following were the results:—
