The three prisoners—James Wilson, Frank Bolton aod Edward Black—who broke loose from Dumgree plantations on September 30, were brought before the Magistrate to-day. They were sentenced to four months in addition to their present sentences. On farther charges of stealing articles from the huts of railway workers, Blaok and Wilson were committed for * r *ln reference to the reoent fatality on the SeddOa Railway Works, the Wairau Hospital and Charitable Aid Board resolved to nrge the Public Works Department to insure all men employed in publio works in this distriot. The family of the man who was recently killed are being assisted by the Board pending tho raising of relief A circular from the Taranaki Education Board to the Marlborough Board oomplained that an undue share of the control of affairs of the middle university district of New Zealand rested with the Wellington Education Board. In consideration of this representation tho Marlborough pig 3rd resolved to support the candidature oPilr Spencer for the Board of Advice of the Wellington Training College. Christchurch, last night.
