V & TO STAND THIS iSEASON, At Te Aral Station, and t'avel Matawhero and Tatutabi districts, as arranged with breeders, the Pure-bred Clydesdale Stallion, YOUNG LYON Young Lyon, foaled October. .1897, by Glen Lyon (British Lion—Diamond), out of Wyllie’s Darling (General Managor, imp.— Maggie by Vanquisher (imp.) ' Young Lyon himself is- a full dark brown, with blaok points. He was bred by Mr R. D. D. McLean, Maraekikaho, Hawke’s Bay. He bus got great substar oe, good bone and hair, is very active, and shows' remarkably good temper. His young stook are showing great quality, and one of bis two-year-old geldings took first prize at the Poverty Bay A. ond P. Society’s Show, 1904, against five other geldings and fihies by well-bred stallions. There are a number of his young stook at v ork and proving themselves to be good, staunch workers. TERMS : £3 53 single mares; two or more mares belonging to same owner, as may be arranged. 10 STAND THIS SEASON At Te Arai, the Thoroughbred Stallion SABRETACHE By Cuirassier Boie. The former is by Musket—Frailty, and Boie is by Bt. Leger— Hippona. It will therefore be seen that the pedigree is of an exceedingly hifb-class, and the stallion's buccibs s alone should rtcem mend him to owners of suitable mares. Babretache is a beautiful brown horse standing 16 hands 2 inches in he ghi, and ii good-tempered. He is the sire of Mr C Bing’s mare Certainty, who won the Tokapi Handicap in fast time at. the last wime meeting of the Takapuna Jockey Club, am has also furnished many other excellent tut records. Good paddocking, with plenty of water, for two months will be provided for mares. All care taken, but no responsibility.
