They are something different from the ordinary bailed, and are mor£ interesting, There is a certain story tpld from end to end j in fact, each one is a small opera, The Christchurch Press, writing of » The Daisy Chain,” says : “ The secoad part of the programme consisted of Liza Lehmann’s beantifui song cycle, ' The Daisy ChaiD.’ The words are largely taken from E, L. Stevenson’s ‘ Child’s Garden of Verses,’ though short poems from other writers also appeal. Anything more delightful thau the blending of this quartette I of voices it would be difficult to imagine. Each number was loudly applauded, and ia two instances repetitions were demanded.
