London, Oct 7. Mr E. Rigg, of Wellington, has been awarded the Buoknoll scholarship of four years at the Faculty of Medioino, University College, London. The Lalia Rookh, from Brisbane to Falmouth, on whioh heavy reinsurance Wus recently effected, bus passed the Lizard. Mr Ramsay Macdonald, interviewed, stated that a labor deputation would not visit the colonies until after the elections, as it would be absent five months, a period which cannot in ths meanwhile be spared. The scheme had been particularly well received in Canada and Australasia.
