• The musioal [[people of Gisborne are ’ looking forward with undoubted eagerness to the rituro of Mr Watkin Mills and his lalentod companions. When the great -English basso and his pianist, Mr Eduard Parlovitz, appeored a year ago they won a wide circle of friends and a wider circle of admirers. It will be something more than : an ordinary ooncert party at His Majesty's Theatre next Monday evening, and we have no doubt a great audience will make it clear to Mr Mills that he is being greeted by old friends. ;The Sydney Morning Herald says : “To say that the singing of Mr Watkin Mills wa3 ; warmly ap-1 preciatod is but faintly to. describe the impression he left upon the audienoe, in very truth the rioh and powerful melody of I bis voice penetrated the soul of caoh mem- I her of the audience and meinories of it will I linger there for many a day. The I moment he walked upon the stage his fine bonhomie and absoiu'o freedom I from affectation carried? him at once into the hearty goodwill of bis audienoe, while the opening notes of his first song assured him J rapturous weU ' come," C~ —- —J
