Christchurch, last night,
The business premises of Whiteombe and Tombs, booksellers, were burglariously entered on Thursday night. Goods to the value of £5 were stolen. An entranco Was effected through ga fire escape by means of tools Btolen from the engineers department. The body of the man John Eckman, a seaman on the Lyttelton Harbor Board dredge, who was drowned through the capsizing of a boat a few days ago, was found floating in the Lyttelton Harbor this afternoon, and was taken possession of by the police,
