Ghristoburob, last night.

The weekly official review of the progress of the ‘New Zealand International Exhibition states that the 16th Deoember next, the anniversary day of the province of Oahterbury, has been selected as the day on which it is proposed to lay the foundation stone of the Exhibition build* ings. The ceremony will be oarriea out on lines suitable end fitting to the inception of an undertaking which is fraught with great possibilities and results both to the present «a future of the colony of New Zealand. It is intended to make this important event distinctly bistoiicai.
