THE HUGARDES
Another good house greeted the Hugardes at His Majesty’s Theatre last evening, and the audience wore most enthusiastic lin regard to the fine performance of these clever'artists. An entirely new sketch, entitled “The Embarrassed Conjuror,” was presented, and met with the utmost success. Several members of tha oompauy were recorded a great reoeption, the feats of Mr Jean Hugardo being | specially worthy of praise. To night the company make their -final appearance in Gisborne, when an entirely new bill will be presented, including new illusions, new songs, and new piotnres, It was intended to have given a matinee this afternoon, but as the hall was engaged they were unable to do so, and it was deoided to give a children’s evening. Speoial train arrangements have been made for this evening.
