Mr Deakin has reoeived a communication from the Governor-General of Canada, asking on behalf of his Government that preferential trade relations be established between Australia ana Canada, and asking whether the Commonwealth is prepared to offer tariff concessions to Canada, or whether it prefers to make the subject one of consideration by a conference of delegates representing Australia and Canada.
