I The people of South Australia are taking to one another. Last year a record for the last 21 years was estaWished in the State in regard to matris mony. The marriages registered in 1904 numbered 2526, being more by 266 than those of the previous year, and being the I highest number recorded in any year since 1884. The marriage rate (that is, the rate of marriages, not of persons | married) per 1000 of the mean population was 6.91, against 6 25 in the previous year and was above the rate recorded in any other year since 1891. The record was not effected by the seasons, as the Msth* odists headed the list with 825 unions* then came the Church of England, witli Sl9; 3nd then the Roman Catholic I Church, with
