.(Per Press Association.) >. Dunedin, last night. John E. Greig, who w»9 brought baok from Wellington, was sentenced to one month’s imprisonment on a charge of theft, and, pleading guilty to another, was remanded to the Supreme Gonrt for sen" ience. Accused came to Dunedin from Singapore'soms months ago, and appears to have had a good time. He made acquaintances, was put up at a club, played “ snooker ” (which others had to pay for), and annexed overcoats and other articles (which he pawned) from bouses where ho dined or visited.
