Special to the Times. Wellington, last night. Wellington oity and suburbs have lately been somewhat agitated by tho appearance at intervals of an alleged “ ghost," who is said to wear a vest having the outline of a coffin on it in phosphorus, bearing tho words, " Are you prepared to moel your doom?" As the result of these ghostly visitations sovoral residents, principally women, are in a dangerous condition from shook, and the polioe are now actively engaged in trying to seonre the perpetrator.

A boy seven years of age, son of Henry Rood, signwriter of Wellington, left his home last Thursday morning for Mount Cook sohool, and has not sinoe been seen, Although a careful search has been made throughout the oity, no trace has yet been found of his whereabouts. His disappearance is a mystery.
