Tho gamo was of an interesting oharaolor throughout and ended in a draw with three points oaoh. Ryan scored in first spell for Wellington nnd Stalker in the sooond half for Manawatu. Both kicks at goal failed. For tho greater part of tho first spell tho visitors wasted a lot of time in useless haphazard passing, tho play gouorally being hardly i -up to aeoond class standard. In tho seoond half, however, they did bolter and really had tho boat of ‘the gamo. Timo after time they nearly scored, but Wellington managed to koop off tho offensive on- I slaught, with tho exooption the one whioh resulted in a try.
