LIGHT-WEIGHT NEW ZEALAND CHAMPIONSHIP.
Wellington, 'Saturday. The professional light-weight boxing championship of New Zealand was decided in the Opora House here before a huge nudicooo, the building boing crammed from floor to ceiling. Several members of Parliament occupied prominent positions on the stage. The contestants were Hook Keys, the New South Wales champion, and Tim Tracy, of Wellington. Fifteen rounds were fought, and tbo visitor proved'himself to be in a class muoh above the local man, winning easily on points, Traey, however, took his punishment wonderfully well, and made a much better showing than was expected of him. It ; was a oloan, wholesome exhibition of the noble art, aDd the skilful figbtiDg of the Australian aroused the audience to a high pitch of enthusiasm, Dr McLean made ' an efficient referee, —' —*•« -•v-i”
