By telegraph, PresaA«a’n, Copyright

Reoeivei 9.22 p.m., Sept. 21.

J London, Sept 21. -i Tho Liverpool Post publishes a cable Tfrom Mr Eg. Jelliooo containing state* meats as to tbs condition of Australia, similar to those made to an Auokland interviewer on Monday. Mr Oogblan, in a letter to the Post, protests against such fantastic statements, and contends that want of employment of only 8 per cent, of bread winners is singularly favorable, being much lower than in America or Liverpool. He denies tbat Australia is being denuded of population. It was only migration from one Stale to another which was really a healthy sign of the return of the people to the land. All States were tryiog their utmost to attaot popnlation. He adds: Evidently Mr Jelliooe is con.fusing the law against contraot labor and the law against undesirable immigrants. Ho warmly protests that the plague of ill informed orilioism is doing incalculable harm to Imperialism.
