DARING THIEF.

Melbourne, Sept. 19. A groom waa bringing a number of horses from Mount G&mbier, just over the ‘•Victorian border, when a horseman bailed him up and demanded one of the horses. The groom failing to oomply with the demand, a revolvor shot was fired over bis head, and he was threatened that a bullet would be put through his head if he made a fusß. The robber scoured the horse and rode off.
