Danedin, last night. A four-roomed house on Bay View road, owned and occupied by John Prentipe, was destroyed by fire yesterday. The in* surances on the building were £250, and on the furniture £IOO, both in the New Zealand office,
Thornes, last night,
A boardiog-house was destroyed by fire last night, It was owned by Mri M, Allaway, now residing at Whangarei. The previous occupier had just left, but some bedding and furnishing remained. The origin of the fire is a mystery. The in* euranoe was £BOO in the Liverpool, Lon* don, and Globe. Splendid work by the brigade saved the whole block.
Napier, last night.
A nine-roomed dwelling in Bower street owned by B. G. Graham and occupied by P. Pit tar, was gutted by fire early this morning. "Very little was saved. The in* suraoces on the building are £4OO, and on the furniture £275, both in the Nor* wioh Union.
