Sir, —Will you kindly allow me to (jive a word of oantion to thos9 of your readers who, like myeelf, may have lately reoeivcd a circular from Mods. Tanquerey, of Paris, generously offering “ to make one of our finest life-tize orayon portraits entirely free of obarge ” from any photograph I might send. The circular then goes on to eay, “ You may no doubt have received similar offer from other houses, but unfortunately you could not obtain your free I orayou portrait from them unless you pun ohase a high-price frame, Suoh is not the cave with us, you being at liberty to buy your frame wherever you choose. The enclosed testimonials will prove that fact. We are no frame-dealors, etc.” Not being born yesterday, I wrote to a gentleman named in one of the teslimonia's for eomo I information about this generous offer, and he kindly replied, “ Ho sent me a list of bis frames, and told mo if I did Dot buy one I would have to send 10a to pay posttags, elo., so as I wanted to get the photo I sent baok, I had to sond the 305." I hope this expose may save many from being similarly duped.—l am, e'o., F. 0. LEGGETT. Ormond, September 13tb, 1905.
