NEW ZEALAND EQUINE CHAMPIONS.

By telegraph. Press Ass’n, Copyrigh

Sydney, Sept. 11.

The Daily Telegraph says that if this year's Derby is to be accepted as a reliable and true tost of those who competed, which there is no reason to dispute, the New Zealand colts are beyond reasonable doubt the best. They furnish another bold advertisement for Multiform. It might well be said that for the last half-mile of the journey there were only two in it, and after that it was only a question which of Mr Stead's colts would prove the better, The reception given Noctuiforin and hiß connections on returning to the scale showed how popular the victory was with the crowd.

The Herald says the New Zealanders fairly outclassed the Australians. The victory of Mr Stead’s colors met with a hearty and cordial reoeption.
