’(Per Press 'Association.')' Nelson, last night. At the Harbor Board meeting to-day it was resolved, by 6 to 4, that in view of the rapid closing of the old channel, the resident engineer be directed to expedite the utilisation of the new channel in the manner recommended by him and ap« proved by the Board last March. The itiquest on O. Mills, killed at the i Stoke rife range on Saturday, occupied the whole day. The evidence Bhowed that every precaution was taken at the firing line, but there was a conflict as to safety at the butts. The jury retired at 10.39, but bad not returned at midnight,
