GREAT EARTHQUAKE.
INCREASING DEATH ROLL, By telegraph. Press Ass’n, Copyright Rome, Sept 10. The earthquake death roll is inoreasing hourly. There are 300 dead at Farghali, 200 at Ohopplo, and 2000 dead and injured at Martirano. The terror-strioken peasants refuse to return to their homes, and are sleeping in the fields, railway stations, and carriages. Further Bhooks ooourred on Saturday.
Received 9.54 p.m., Sept. 11. Rome, Sept 11. The Government is devoting £IO,OOO sterling to the earthquake sufferers. King Emmanuel has given £4OOO. It is feared 2000 have been killed.
Received 12,4 a.m., Sept. 12. One hundred thousand people ere ,roofless at Calabria. KiDg Emmanuel and Ministers have gane to Calabria.
