Four oarriagoe in tho rear section mounted the station platform—one turning a somersault—and demolished tho portora’ room, killing a porter. Tho carriages were heaped with a terrifio impact. There woro many miruoulous esoapes, inoluding a party of forty of Dr. Barnado’s children. The gasometer burst, firing an overturned carriage in the front section, but the sole occupant hoi leaped safely before the carriage was overturned.
