The annual report of the New Zealand Farmers’ Co-operative Association shows the net-profits to be £22,538, with £1930 balance from last year, making the total £24,473. A dividend will be declared of 6 per cent., besides a bonus of 4 per cent, on paid-up capital, a bonus of 4 per cent, on shareholders’ purchases, a bonus to the staff at the same rate on wages and salaries, and a refund on all nett .commissions earned. The Association carry forward £2OOO to reserve fund and £IOOO to a special fund for contingencies and doubtful accounts, and write off 10 per cent, for depreciation. Dunedin, last night._ The verdict on the old man David Stewart, who died suddenly yesterday, ; was ; death from heart ! failure, the result of senile decay. j It has ■ been raining all day, and there is little prospect of an improvement.
