At a moeting of the committee of the Hawko’s Bay Agricultural and Pastoral Society, held to-day, the question of experimental work in connection with the societies and with the assistance of the Department of Agriculture was considered, and ovontually the following reaommenda tions were made : (1) That the metropolitan society be asked to appoint special committees to approach the district societies, and try to arrange the experiments proposed, and submit the probable cost, of same to the Department; (2) that the experiments bo practical, and such as would apply to ordinary farm praotioe in their respective districts.
