HAITI ROAD BOARD. IT is hereby notified that it le the intention of the above-named Board, at a meeting to bo held on TUESDAY, September 12th, 1905, to strike a General Rate of One Halfpenny in the £, in terms of Sootion 37 of “ 'l'ho Rating Act, 1894," and Seotion 114 of “ The Road Boards Act, 1882 " ; tho said rate to bo on the capital value of all rateable property within tho Haiti Road District, for the period of qno year, from tho Ist April, 1905, to the 31st March, 1906, and to be dne and payable in one sum on September 27th, 1905, at the Offioo of the Board, Lowe Street, Gisborne. It is also notified that the following Speoial Rates, to provide interest on Loans under “ The Goverdment Loans to Looal Bodies' Act, 1886," and any amendments thereof, will be levied for the same period for tho repeotlve Special Districts defined in Special Qrdvrs' striking Speoial Rates : (1.) On Loan of £1543 17v lOd, over the Whole Distiiot—Five Thirty-seoonds of One Penny in the £. (2.) On Loan of £2054 fis Bd, over the same Special Eating area— Seven Thirty - seconds of One Penny in the £. Total Special Rates, as above, Threeeights of One Penny in the £. (3.) WAIKOHU BOAD DISTRICT. I HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that a Speoial Meeting of the Waikohu Boad District Board will bo hold at the Board’s Office, Karalta, on SEPTEMBER 18th, 1905, for tbo purpose of making the following Special Order “In pursuance and exeroise of the powers vested in them in that behalf by “ The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” the Waikohu Boad Board does hereby resolve as follows—- “ That for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £SOOO, authorised to be raised by the Waikohu Boad Board, under the provisions of ‘ The Local Bodies' Loans Aot, 1901,’ for erecting a cart bridge across the Waipaoa Biver, ut the Kanaekanae creasing, the said Waikohu Boad Board does hereby make and levy a Speoial Ktae of One-fiith of a Penny in the £1 upon the rateable valuation of all rateable properly of the Kanaekanae Bridge Special Bating District, as follows, and that suoh Speoial Bate shall be an annual-reourr-ingrate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the first day of January and the firet day of July in each and every year during a period equal to the ourrenoy of such loan, being a period of fortytwo years, or until the loan is fully paid off. The rate of interest to be 4 per cent.”

Commencing at a point on the Waikohu River, beinn th 9 intersection of the western boundary of Poututu Blook 2,4, 82, and proceeding thence by the centre of that river to the Waipaoa Biver, thence by the centre of that river to the Bangatira Pord at Karaka, thenoo by the centre of the main road to its intersection with the western boundary of the Ruangarehu Block, thenoe by that boundary to the centre of the Waipaoa River, thence towards the south-east by the centre of that river to the south-western boundary of the Ngakaroa No. 2 Block, thence towards the north-east by a public road to the Mangataikehu stream, thence by the centre of that stream and the centre of the Tapuiiara and Hurunui streams to the southern boundary of the Papakorokoro Blook, thence by the southern and eastern boundaries of that blook and the Waihora No. 2 Block to the , Urumatai stream, thenoe easterly to a right line to a point being the production of a right line drawn from trig 134 to trig 129, inence by a right line to trig 134, thenoe by anothor right line to trig 168, thenoe by a right line to trig Tangihanga, thence north-westerly by a right line to the western boundary of Tutamoe No. 1 Blook, thence south-westerly by the boundaries of that block and the Waipaoa No. 3a Block, thence south-easterly by the south-western boundaries of that block to the Waingaromia stream, thence by the oenire of that stream to the Waitangi stream, thence westerly by the boundaries of Waitangi No. 1, No. 2c, No. 2b Blocks, and the Paknke-a-Whirikoka Blook to the centre of he Wai a river, thence southerly by the centre of that river to its junction with the Wheao stream, thence northerly and westerly by the centre of that stream to a point being the intersection of a line being the eastern boundary of Block XIV., Maogatu Survey District, thence northerly by that line to the Urukokomoko stream, thenoe by the centre of that stream to'the northern boundary of Pontutu B 6 Blook, thenoe easterly by the boundaries of Poututu Blook to the north-west corner of that blook, thenoe southerly by the western boundary of Pout u Block to the Waikohu river, the point commencement.
